Straight Egyptian Arabian

Horse

The name evokes visions of Arabian horses running across ancient Egyptian desert areas.  Strong, brave, intelligent and so dedicated to their human family.  Few  breeds are so easily identified with a simple glance but the Bedouin tribes are some of the most accomplished horse breeders in the world.  A simple search online lead me to a wealth of information about  the SE Arabian Horse, yet years of study only whets the appetite for more information about a breed I admire greatly.

My mare HF Macarena is a lovely 14.1 hand desertbred mare, listed as Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa and she is eligible for the Asil registry in Europe.   Her lovely temperament and smaller size made her an obvious choice to breed for the Arabian Pony I had wanted.  Her daughter Layla is more than I could have imagined with type and temperament that will make for a wonderful mount for grandkids.
